Advantages And Disadvantages Of Glazed Tiles

Jul 10, 2018

The Indoor Glazed Ceramic Tiles is the tile of the surface of the brick which has been treated by glazing high temperature and high pressure. The ceramic tile is composed of two parts: the soil glaze and the surface glaze. The main body is divided into clay and porcelain clay. The back surface of the clay is fired. The back of the red, porcelain clay is grayish white. The surface of the glazed tile can be made into various patterns and patterns, which are richer in color and pattern than the polished tiles. Because the surface is glaze, the

wear resistance is not as good as that of polished tiles.

Advantages of glazed tiles

1 Glazed tiles are rich in color patterns, many specifications, easy to clean, large selection space, suitable for kitchen and bathroom. The surface of the Ceramic Wall Decoration Flower can be made into a variety of patterns and patterns, which are richer in color and pattern than polished tiles.

2 The surface strength of glazed tiles will be much larger and can be used as both wall and floor. Compared with vitrified bricks, the three biggest advantages of glazed tiles are anti-seepage and not afraid of dirt. Most of the glazed tiles have very good anti-slipness, and the glazed tiles can also be fired with various patterns and styles. Although the wear resistance of glazed tiles is slightly worse than that of vitrified tiles, the wear resistance of qualified products can definitely meet the needs of home use.

4 Anti-seepage, seamless splicing, arbitrary shape, very good toughness, basically no breakage.

5 Water absorption rate: The water absorption of glazed tiles is greater than 10%.

6 Characteristics of resistance to rapid cooling and rapid heat: Resistance to rapid cooling and heat is the property of glazed tiles subjected to sudden changes in temperature without cracking. The difference between the hot and cold temperatures used in the test was 130 ± 2"C.

7 Bending strength: The average bending strength of glazed tiles is not less than 16 MPa. When the thickness of bricks is greater than or equal to 7.5 mm, the average bending strength is not less than 13 MPa.

Disadvantages of glazed tiles

1 The surface is glaze, so the wear resistance is not as good as polished tiles.

2 In the process of firing, pinholes, cracks, bends, chromatic aberrations, and wavy spots are often seen.

3 Look at the water absorption rate, generally good brick, good press, high density of pressing, high firing temperature, good porcelain, so the water absorption rate is also small.
